Encounter and Exchange

Since the beginning of 2007 Diwan provides space for culturally interested people from Switzerland and newly arrived people from Arabic countries to meet. The "Arabic Speaking Club" convenes on the last Friday of the month for a mixed-company-evening, adressing various topics, at Badenerstrasse 109 in Zürich. Everyone seeking lively contact and cultural exchange is welcome.

There will be Videos and Film presentations, discussions, Journey-reports with slide shows, Lyric-readings, lectures on Arabic wise sayings from Egypt or on the origin of the Arabic language. Our programme is mixed and provides something for everyone.
